Leilania is an orphan of the sea and an outsider of Mermaid Falls. She now guards and lives in The Abandoned Castle along with a few sirens.
Leilania has a very sad story. Like the castle she now inhabits, she too was abandoned. Her parents made a decision that would change Leilani’s life forever. They were part of a cult that believed that by diving through the waters of the magnetic field, they would gain powers and transcend death. Before making the jump, they left Leilania at a shore nearby.
Unfortunately, the bodies of Leilania’s parents were never found, so Leilania holds on to the hope that they are still alive. The sirens found Leilania and took her in as one of their own. They showered her with endless love and affection. The sirens saw something in Leilania that stirred an unexplained curiosity coupled with a deep admiration.
Leilania was only 7 years old when she was found. She was able to adapt to her new life after only a few weeks. Leilania would then flourish in all aspects- combat ability, swimming agility, and communication skills.
Leilania has a strong presence. She is very confident and sure of herself. She can come across as cool and distant but has love in her heart for those around her. Leilania stays close to her planetary sister Kaleena and her siren companion Sapphirah.
As an outsider, Leilania was chosen as the guardian of the Abandoned Castle. She is the main one that protects the portals. At first, some sirens were wary of assigning guardianship of the castle to an outsider, but the Siren Oracle made it clear that an outsider must help guard it. Through time, Leilania was able to gain the respect and trust of the sirens.
